Romiplostim Powder and Solvent for solution for Injection 250mcg per 0.5 vial
A sterile, recombinant TPO-receptor agonist injection (250mcg/0.5ml deliverable dose) indicated for chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) in patients refractory to corticosteroids or splenectomy. Romiplostim Powder and Solvent for Injection — 250mcg / 0.5ml
Romiplostim for Injection is a sterile, preservative-free, lyophilized powder supplied with a dedicated solvent for subcutaneous reconstitution. Each single-dose vial is engineered to deliver 250 mcg of Romiplostim protein per 0.5 ml of reconstituted solution (giving a final concentration of 500 mcg/ml). As an advanced thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist, this engineered fusion protein directly stimulates bone marrow to accelerate platelet production.
Key Clinical Benefits & Indications
-
Chronic Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP): Indicated for adult and pediatric patients (1 year or older) with severe ITP who have shown an insufficient response to corticosteroids, immunoglobulins, or splenectomy.
-
Targeted Platelet Surge: Acts as a specialized peptibody that binds directly to the TPO receptor (c-Mpl) on bone marrow cells, stimulating megakaryocyte maturation to increase healthy blood platelets without causing hormonal resistance.

Reconstitution & Administration Alert
💉 Precise Handling Required: Clean the vial stopper, attach the vial adapter, and slowly inject the provided sterile water down the vial wall. Gently swirl to dissolve—do not shake, as vigorous movement denatures the therapeutic protein. Use a high-precision 1 ml syringe with 0.01 ml graduations to withdraw the exact weight-based dose.
⚠️ Clinical Warning: For hospital and hematology use only. Romiplostim is not indicated for thrombocytopenia caused by Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). Weekly Complete Blood Counts (CBCs) with absolute platelet monitoring are mandatory to titrate the dosage safely.
